What do they do?
The purpose of the Health
Unit Coordinator is to
prepare the graduate to
perform the clerical,
reception/communication, and
coordination tasks for the
nursing unit. The unit
coordinator is prepared to
work with the medical and
nursing teams to care for
the sick and promote
wellness.
Where do they work?
After completion of the
short six-month program, the
graduate possesses the
skills to perform in a
hospital setting as a unit
secretary or unit
coordinator.
